Who we are

What we collect when you visit

• A visitor ID: a random code in a first-party cookie (mie_vid), so we can tell one visit from the next. It does not contain your name or email.
• Where you came from: the campaign tags and ad click ID in the link you followed, and the site that sent you. We do not keep your IP address in these records.
• What you did on our pages: pages viewed, how much of a product video you watched, and buttons such as "Start your free trial".
• Your cookie choice (mie_consent), and when you made it.
• Links we share: when you open one of our campaign links (an address with /go/ or /c/ in it), we record that it was opened, which campaign, advert or email it belonged to, and — if you later book a meeting or buy — that it was the same visitor ID. Automated link checkers are counted separately and get no cookie. We do not keep your IP address in these records, and we never put your email address or phone number in a link.

Advertising cookies — only if you accept

We ask first. Only if you press Accept on the cookie banner do the tags of Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google (Analytics and Ads), LinkedIn, TikTok and Microsoft (Bing) load on our pages. They set their own cookies and tell us which adverts bring people who sign up, so we spend less on adverts that do not work.

For visitors who accepted, our server also sends those platforms a copy of a sign-up, free-trial start or purchase, with your email address scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) and, at that moment, the IP address and browser the event came from. We do not keep the IP address afterwards. If you press No thanks, nothing about you is sent to any advertising platform. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie choices" at the bottom of a product page.

What we collect when you sign up

• Your first and last name, email, the category of your business and, if you give it, your phone number.
• Your password, stored only as a one-way hash that we cannot read.
• Six-digit codes we email to confirm it is you. They are stored scrambled and expire after 10 minutes.
• Whether you ticked "Send me occasional product news".

What we hold while you use the client app

• Your account, your plan and trials, and how many times you used each tool.
• What you put into the tools. EDA Report Studio reads your spreadsheet in your own browser; only a statistical summary of it (column types, counts, averages, no rows) comes to us to write the plain-English report. Files you upload to File Answer Desk are stored in your account so you can ask questions about them.
• If your business uses our phone, email or text features, the contact details and messages those features handle for you.

Payments

Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never reaches our servers. We keep the Stripe customer and subscription references, the plan, the status and the amounts, so we can switch your product on and off and answer billing questions.

Why we use it

• To create and run your account and the products you use.
• To confirm it is you and keep accounts secure.
• To bill you and handle cancellations and refunds.
• To send the emails that go with your account: codes, trial and billing notices. Product news only if you asked for it.
• To see which pages and adverts work and improve them — with advertising platforms only if you accepted their cookies.

Who else handles it

We do not sell personal information. We use service providers who process it for us, only for the feature involved:

• Stripe — payments.
• Our email delivery service — sending codes and notices.
• AI providers (through OpenRouter, and OpenAI) — writing summaries and answers from what you submit to a tool.
• Twilio and LiveKit — phone and voice features, when your business uses them.
• Google (business listings and maps) and Alpha Vantage (market data) — when you use the tools that look these up.
• Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok and Microsoft — advertising measurement, only if you accepted their cookies.

Some of these providers process information outside your country. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open, and afterwards only as long as we need it for billing records, disputes or the law. Email codes are deleted within a day. The copies of events queued for advertising platforms are cleared as soon as they are sent. Ask us and we will delete your account and its data, except records we must keep by law.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, withdraw your cookie consent, and stop product news with the link in any such email. To do any of this: Email [email protected], or call 4166274949, or write to MakeITEazzy, 17 Locust Crescent, ON, Canada. We answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the privacy regulator in Canada.

Children

Our products are for businesses and are not meant for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

Pages and payments are encrypted in transit, passwords and codes are stored only as hashes, and saved keys are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will also tell account holders by email.
